Love Remains is a studio album past American vocalizer and songwriter Hillary Scott, a founding member of American country music trio Lady A, released in collaboration with her male parent, Lang Scott; her female parent, Linda Davis; and her sis Rylee Scott (credited collectively as 'The Scott Family').[2] It was released on July 29, 2016, by EMI Nashville and Capitol Nashville. The religion-based record incorporates elements of gospel, bluegrass, state, and pop genres and is produced by Ricky Skaggs.[1]

Upon release, Love Remains achieved moderate commercial success, including a tiptop-x debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.[3] Information technology additionally bowed atop the Billboard Christian Albums chart and at number ii on the Country Albums chart. The record's lead single, "Thy Will", was released in April 2016 and reached the top of the Hot Christian Songs nautical chart that summer.[2] [4]

Dearest Remains won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and "Thy Will" won for Best Contemporary Christian Music Operation/Song at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.[v] [6]

In 2011, following the passing of Hillary Scott'southward grandfather, W.1000. Scott Jr., the Scott family leaned on their faith and used traditional hymns to comfort one another.[seven] They began recording the songs with the intention of sharing those messages of joy with friends and family unit.[viii] This project somewhen adult into a full-length album which includes classic hymns, popular Gimmicky Christian songs, and newly-written original tracks such equally the project'southward atomic number 82 single, "Thy Will".[ix] This song was inspired past a miscarriage Scott experienced in 2015 while on tour.[seven] The family unit reached out to Ricky Skaggs to produce the album and Skaggs additionally provided instrumentation and guest vocals.[seven] [9] Christian musicians Steven Curtis Chapman and Cheryl White besides make appearances.

Dear Remains debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 with 28,000 units sold in its first week.[3] Information technology was the 4th best-selling album of the week.[13] The anthology likewise debuted at numbers i and ii on the Summit Christian Albums and Acme State Albums charts, respectively. The album has sold 165,000 copies in the Us as of December 2017.[14]

Internationally, the album debuted at number 69 in Canada and at number 81 in Commonwealth of australia.
